The cost of doing it the typical way.

Most serious pre-med students already spend this much across fragmented services. Most just do not know they are doing it.

Typical pre-med spend, per year

Chemistry tutoring marketplace ($40–$150 per hr, ~50 hrs) $2,000–$7,500
MCAT prep course (one of the major brands) $1,500–$3,600
Admissions consulting package $3,500–$10,000
Research opportunity finder service $500–$2,000
Total per year, three+ separate vendors $8,500–$11,000+

What MCM costs by comparison

The Mentorship Program runs about $9,600 per year ($2,400 per quarter, four quarters). The Full Journey is $16,000+ over 12–24 months, which works out to similar or lower annual cost depending on duration. The difference is not the dollar amount. It is that the same dollar covers a person who knows your whole story, instead of three vendors who do not.

Referrals

If MCM has been useful to you, the highest compliment is a referral.

Tell another student about it. When they book, I want to properly express my appreciation, either as a session credit on your next package or in cash, whichever you would prefer. The relationship matters more than the amount.

The Ivy League Challenge

Chemistry support and academic mentorship for college-bound students.

Dr. Wolfson works directly with high school students on General Chemistry and AP Chemistry, the same way he works with university students. Sessions are virtual on the Kedyou whiteboard. Pricing matches the rates above: individual sessions, support packages, or extended engagements depending on what fits.

For students who want broader pre-college mentorship across coursework, applications, and admissions strategy, that work runs through Dr. Wolfson's affiliation with The Ivy League Challenge. The Ivy League Challenge is a comprehensive program for high-achieving high school students, and Dr. Wolfson contributes the STEM mentorship and chemistry expertise side of it.

If you found MCM first, mention it when booking and we will route you through the right side of the partnership for what you actually need.

Pricing questions, answered.

How much does chemistry tutoring cost?
Individual sessions are $120 per hour. Prepaid packages of five or more hours are $100 per hour and can be used for any service within 12 months.
What does the Mentorship Program cost?
The Pre-Professional Mentorship Program is $2,400 per quarter, which covers a weekly session plus access between sessions. Longer engagements run deeper: The Full Journey starts at $16,000 for a 12 to 24 month arc, and VIP is a $25,000 retainer for two weekly sessions through degree completion.
Do you offer packages or discounts?
Yes. Buying five or more hours up front lowers the rate from $120 to $100 per hour, and those hours apply to any service for a full year.
Is this worth it compared to other support?
Most pre-professional students already spend $8,500 to $11,000 a year on fragmented help from separate tutors, test-prep, and consultants. Integrated mentorship is similar in total cost with far better continuity, because one person knows your whole story year over year.
