Case Study: Shannon B's Story
A brilliant pre-professional unsure of how to succeed in chemistry and which direction to go after.
On Arrival
Shannon came in borderline burned out, studying 30+ hours a week for organic chemistry and scraping by with a C−, with an exam already looming.
Three sessions in, the real problem surfaced: she was intelligent and passionate about chemistry, but couldn't connect concepts to the structures on the page, and the ripple effect was setting her up to fail.
The Improvement
We rebuilt her conceptual foundation while preparing with test-level questions, on a session structure that fit her schedule. By week 3 she was studying less and scoring higher, lifting her grade to a B+.

I earned my PhD in Organic Chemistry from The Ohio State University and my B.S. from UMBC. After my doctorate, I performed research for companies like DuPont as a Senior Scientist, where I served as a member of hiring panels, mentor to junior scientists, and supervisor of technicians. I left to start this company after seeing the gap between what students think they need to thrive in chemistry and what they actually bring.
I use my knowledge of what chemistry careers actually look like to build the next generation of STEM professionals into their best selves.
